Rillito Peak Field Trip

We are planning an informal field trip to Rillito Peak. This is in the Tucson Mountain range. The date is set at Sunday March 25. We will see petroglyphs and mortars and if you decide to hike up there are also pit house remains. This site is good because if you aren't much into hiking you can just walk the base of the mountain for a casual stroll. Or you can hike up and see the petroglyphs and pit houses up close. There are mortars at ground level and on the hill top.

We will be meeting in the Wendy's parking lot at the SE corner of Cortaro Farms and I-10 at 10:00 Sunday morning. The site is approximately 4 miles from there. Yes, four short miles and all paved road. Remember to bring plenty of water and a lunch or snack with you.
