Writing a Research Paper for class
If you choose to write a research paper in lieu of one of my standard multiple choice exams, you will need to read this section carefully to do well with your paper. I require the following:
All papers will be typed, proof-read, spell-checked, and formatted to standard double spaced, 1 inch margins with paragraph indentation, bibliography of sources, and appropriate footnotes or end notes.
I have several links below, compliments of Judy Watry, writing faculty at West Campus
PCC Library. Always start your research with our own
library! You can search by author, word, or title. Make sure to look
up Baker's
Biographical Dictionary of Composers and the New
Grove's Dictionary of Music and Musicians. We also have an extensive
collection of LPs and CDs to listen to in the library to complement class
discussions.
