Welcome to the 2009-2010 academic year, the 40th for the college and the 20th for the Center for the Arts!

The Pima Community College Performing Arts Department is a vibrant and energetic presence at the West Campus Center for the Arts.  We continue to provide excellent performance and study opportunities in Dance, Music, and Theatre.  Please be our virtual guests and browse through our web pages to see what we have to offer you as a student and as a patron of the arts.  The Center for the Arts on West Campus is home to the music and theatre areas of the Performing Arts Department and is used for dance productions as well.  Its three performance spaces include the Proscenium Theatre, Black Box Theatre, and Music Recital Hall. In addition, classrooms, practice rooms, the class piano laboratory, and the electronic music laboratory allow students to access comprehensive facilities.  We have an experienced and compassionate faculty ready to assist you in your personal journey through the arts. Our program includes the Associate of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in either music, theatre, or dance, courses for personal enrichment, general arts education requirement courses, and performance opportunities in a variety of music ensembles, the dance performance class, and theatre plays and musicals.   Come visit us for performances showcasing our wind ensemble, chorale and chamber singers, orchestra, jazz ensemble and jazz combos.  Take an afternoon or evening to enjoy our student recitals and faculty and guest artist recitals.  Book your seats early for our outstanding theater plays, musicals, and dance concerts.  Come talk with our faculty about our classes and degree program options. Call or e-mail me for further information!

Sincerely yours,
