ARC 286 - Electronic & Digital Field Mapping
Electronic & Digital Field Mapping
(ARC 286), includes electronic surveying instruments, computerized data collection systems, and associated software for mapping archaeological sites. Students gain hands-on instruction in the use of the total station, field computers, data processing software and map production software. Production of both planimetric and topographic maps is part of the course. Field Mapping II is taught every second year, in the spring semester.
