Principles of Archaeology (ARC 225)
is a survey of the concepts and methods which archaeologists use to interpret
and reconstruct the human past. The course includes a history of archaeology,
methods and techniques of archaeological excavation, surveying and mapping,
dating, sampling and statistical methods, archaeological analysis, and a
synthesis of archaeological data. This class is offered every fall semester.
