desert bedstrawDESCRIPTION: Perennial subshrub to 2'. Flowers cream-colored with 4 petals to 1/8" wide. Leaves simple, smooth-edged, lance-shaped, in whorls of 4-5. The leaves are about 1/4" long and sharp-pointed. Stems are square. Rubiaceae (Madder) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers January to May.
