Barestem Larkspur (Delphinium scaposum)
barestem larkspurDESCRIPTION: Perennial to 30". Flowers dark blue with white petal projecting upward out of center. Flower to 1" wide with 4 petals, 5 sepals, and a purplish spur projecting backward. Multiple flowers come out along tall, leafless stem. Leaves are basal, simple, and palmately-lobed. Ranunculaceae (Buttercup) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom March to May. Poisonous to humans and livestock.
