|Blue Toadflax (Linaria texana)|
DESCRIPTION: Annual to 32". Flowers to 3/8" long, blue to violet in color, occurring along slender, erect stem. Look for the thin spur projecting backward and curving downward. Compare to larkspur that has a spur projecting backward that is thicker and straight. Leaves simple, smooth-edged, linear, to 1.25" long. Scrophulariaceae (Snapdragon or Figwort) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom February to May.
