DESCRIPTION:
Also known as Fiddleneck. Annual to 20". Flowers are orangish-yellow,
tubular (5-lobed), and 1/8" wide. Flower spike begins season coiled
(like the neck of a fiddle) then slowly unfolds as each successive flower
blooms. Leaves simple, smooth-edged, green, hairy (as is the rest of
the plant), linear, and longer at base (6") than at top of plant
(less than an inch). Boraginaceae (Forget-Me-Not) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers March-May.
