DESCRIPTION:
Shrub to 5'. Flowers are tiny, but fruit are 1/4" in diameter and
are red to blackish in color. Leaves are simple, smooth-edged, alternate,
elliptical to spatula-shaped to 3/16" long. Branches have sharp tips.
Rhamnaceae (Buckthorn) Family.NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom mostly August to October, but also in spring. |
