DESCRIPTION:
L=5.5" (14cm). Overall coloration variable but typically brown to
gray with speckles. Has a black blotch behind each foreleg (but sometimes
faint or absent).NATURAL HISTORY: Carnivorous, eating mostly small arthropods. Diurnal. Stays mostly on the ground (rarely seen in trees). One of the most common lizard in arid habitats in the southwest. Frequently see head-bobbing behavior. Lays eggs. |
