DESCRIPTION:
Wt. up to 22 lbs. (10 kg). Overall grayish brown, with indistinct spots.
Tail is short with tip of tail black only on upperside (not upper and
lowerside as in lynx). Inside of upper legs has dark bands. Backside of
ears are black with a white spot.NATURAL HISTORY: Carnivorous, especially cottontails, jackrabbits, rodents, quail and other birds, reptiles, and rarely larger prey like javelina and deer. Click on thumbnails below for more images: |
