DESCRIPTION: body 0.5"-1.25" long. Called a windscorpion because they look a little like a scorpion and because they run like the wind. Also called solifugid and sun spider. Distinctive by having very large chelicerae ("fangs").
NATURAL HISTORY: non-venomous but can bite. Mostly nocturnal, they mostly hunt other arthropods
