DESCRIPTION:
Length to about 1/2". Color variable (often brightly colored), depending
on species. Jumping spiders characteristically have two, large, shiny,
forward-facing eyes (in addition to other, less conspicuous eyes).
NATURAL HISTORY: Jumping spiders pounce on their prey. Their relatively
good, forward-facing eyes, give them the the depth perception needed to
jump on their prey from a distance.
