WS=0.8-1.1" (21-28 mm). Distinctive by having golden scales on head
and palpi. Otherwise plain. Upper surface is black with tiny white spots.
Adults often seen perched on canyon bottoms with wings open.Family Hesperiidae, Subfamily Pyrginae NATURAL HISTORY: Adults fly spring through summer and fall. Larvae feed on goosefoots. |
