DESCRIPTION: Females weigh 90 lbs (40 kg) or more while males weigh 150 lbs (70 kg) or more. Overall brown. Tail brown above and bright white below, often held up when alarmed. Antlers with unbranched tines coming off main beam.
NATURAL HISTORY: Herbivorous. May be active any time during the day, often crepuscular. Rarely occurs in the desert, and then usually in riparian areas. See Horns versus Antlers versus Pronghorns.
