BIO 109 QUIZ OF TUCSON ARTHROPODS, FISH, AND AMPHIBIANS

START

These quizzes are here to help you learn the species. The quizzes can be "taken" in two ways as shown below. Each question page has the following navigation aids: previous (return to previous question), next (go on to next question), list (go to list of question numbers at the bottom of this page to skip straight to the questions you need to see again), and quit (returns you to the main species group page).

1. Fail Safe Study Technique: This technique is especially effective for longterm retention (and for BIO 109 students who will be asked to do this on their identification tests). Here's how it works:

  • Get a piece of paper and for each question, write down the name for each species.
  • Go to the answer sheet only after you have taken the whole quiz (no looking at answers while you are taking the quiz!). Grade yourself to monitor your progress; identification takes practice.

2. Alternative: Think about (or write down) what each species is and then hold cursor steady over "answer" button without clicking for a couple of seconds until the correct answer pops up.
