Peppergrass (Lepidium spp)
longpetal peppergrassDESCRIPTION: Exotic. Annual to 2'. Flowers to 1/8" wide, white, with 4 petals followed by a flattened, oval, notched, seedpod. Leaves differ on different species: L. lasiocarpum has rounded, pinnate lobes, L. thurberi has pointed, pinnate lobes, and L. medium (shown here) has linear, pinnate lobes on lower leaves and straplike upper leaves. Cruciferae (Mustard) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom almost anytime during year.
