New Mexico thistleDESCRIPTION: Perennial to 6'. Flowerhead pinkish purple to 2" wide, with long, spiny, bracts below (lower bracts point downward). Leaves simple, pinnately lobed, spiny, to 7" long. Stems spiny. Compositae (Sunflower) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom spring through summer.
