| Arizona Jewelflower (Streptanthus arizonicus) | |
DESCRIPTION:
Annual to 3.5' tall. Flowers with whitish-yellow sepals shaped like a
goblet with small, twisted, purple petals (4) inside. Upper leaves are
simple, smooth-edged, to 8" long, and clasp stem; basal leaves may
be deeply-notched. Listed as S. carinatus by Rondeau et al. (1996).
Cruciferae (Mustard) Family.NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom during winter and early spring. |
