DESCRIPTION: WS=3/4 - 1" (18-26 mm). Fringes checkered. Upperside brown with median band greatly darkened. At the base of the hindwings, between the metalic bands, the black spots usually are weak.
Family Riodinidae.
NATURAL HISTORY: Adults fly all year. Larvae feed especially on seep willow (Baccharis) and brittlebush (Encelia).
