SELF QUIZZES
Recommended Use: Study the material first using the appropriate PowerPoint presentation(s) and web pages. Note: the textbook is optional; the page numbers are provided for those who want to read more in the book. All information on the Exam comes from the PowerPoint presentations and the Self-Quizzes. When you think you know the material well enough, take out a blank piece of paper and take the appropriate quiz. After you have answered all questions, grade your quiz. Repeat until you get a "good" grade on the self quiz. A good grade on the self quiz should translate into a good grade on that portion of the exam. See the Fail Safe Study Technique.
PowerPoint Presentations are on MyPima (https://mypima.pima.edu). Click on the Academics Tab, then click on "Click here" in the My Courses box, then click on Natural History of the Southwest, then click on "Files" under the Course Tools. Click on the folder for the appropriate exam, and then click on the file you want to view. Make sure you either have PowerPoint or PowerPoint Viewer on your computer. After opening the file, type the F5 button to go into Slideshow mode.
