DESCRIPTION:
Perennial
to 3' or more. Flowers vary from white to pink to purplish, to orange.
Flowers have 5 petals (unsymmetrical) and are to 1.5" wide. Leaves
are simple, variably lobed, green, with starlike hairs. S. ambigua
and S. laxa
are two of the most common species of globemallow around Tucson. Malvaceae
(Mallow) Family.NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom anytime during the year. |
