DESCRIPTION:
WS=5/8 - 7/8" (16-23 mm). Lower surface has two prominent black spots
on leading edge of hindwing. Outer angle of hindwing has one strong and
one weak eyespot in our area.Family Lycaenidae, Subfamily Polyommatinae. NATURAL HISTORY: Adults fly all year, mostly in late summer and fall. Habitat is desert to mid-elevations. Larvae feed on variety of plants, especially legumes. |
