DESCRIPTION:
Annual or perennial to 2-3'. Flowers are white with 4-6 thin petals and
many yellow stamens. Flower to 5" wide. Leaves simple, deeply lobed,
bluish-green, to 8" long, with prickles. Stems also spiny, with yellow
sap. Papaveraceae (Poppy) Family.NATURAL HISTORY: Poisonous. Flowers bloom spring to summer. Commonly found along roadsides. |
