Coursetia [Baby Bonnets] (Coursetia glandulosa)

DESCRIPTION: Also called C. microphylla. Large shrub or small tree to 20'. Bark is gray and without spines. Flowers (to 1/4" wide and 1/2" long) have white upper petals and yellow lower petals. Seed pod is brown, constricted between seeds and grows to 2" long. Leaves pinnately compound to 1" long. Fabaceae (Legume) Family.
NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom March to April.
