Shrub to 15'. Flowers (3" long) red to orange, narrow, with several
sticking out in terminal cluster. Seed pod to 10" long; seeds to
1/2" long (poisonous). Leaves (3"
long) pinnately compound with 3 triangle-shaped leaflets. Stems have small,
curved spines. Fabaceae (Legume) Family.NATURAL HISTORY: Flowers bloom May to July or later. Poisonous seeds found in jewelry. |
